Visitor Promotion and Marketing
Skills Scotland was launched in Glasgow in 2009 and the first event attracted over 7,000 students, teachers and other visitors. In 2011 we successfully launched events in Aberdeen and Edinburgh and grew the overall visitors attending a Skills Scotland event.
The Skills Scotland Aberdeen event will attract 2,500 visitors in 2013.
The marketing campaign will include regular direct mail, email marketing and telephone contact with every school, college and youth group across Scotland. Additional marketing will include advertising and editorial coverage across newspapers and radio, website and email marketing, outdoor advertising, PR and a poster and leaflet campaign.
We will provide financial assistance towards the cost of coach or other travel for groups.
Skills Scotland events will be promoted through Local Authorities, Skills Development Scotland and other organisations.
