Skills Scotland Aberdeen is aimed primarily at students getting ready to leave education, those in year groups S4, S5 and S6.

If you are bringing students we will work with you to make sure your young people visiting get a chance to make crucial links between the businesses and industries at the event and the courses they are studying.  It will introduce students to skills, trades and professions they may never have considered and will help them form and collect evidence as part of their course/qualifications or act as a work related learning activity.

Ignite your student’s passion and inspire them to be the best.

Before the event we will provide a suggested lesson plan for you to deliver to ensure your students get the most out of the event.

Group visits take a lot of organisation and mean changes to the timetable but with the following benefits we think your school or college will reap the rewards.

At Skills Scotland Aberdeen your young people can...

  • Try their hand at new and interactive skills
  • Talk to real people doing real jobs
  • Find out what they need to succeed in a chosen career
  • Get information from experts on work based learning, education and training

But what will you get as a teacher or group leader?

As a group leader Skills Scotland Aberdeen will offer you a fantastic opportunity to get the latest, up-to-date information from local, regional and national employers, colleges and organisations dedicated to helping your young people.  You can talk to exhibitors and make contacts to help you after the event, arrange individual visits, update your careers library and network with like-minded professionals.
